David Coppa, the CEO of Konover South, continues the family tradition by representing the third generation of private ownership. He is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for the organization, driving growth and expansion, and fostering its corporate culture.
Born and raised in and around the family business in West Hartford, Connecticut, David began his career at affiliate Konover Hotel where he excelled for several years. Upon relocation to Florida in 1997, David worked in the banking industry for numerous years, then rejoined the family business serving in the company’s retail asset management department, and later, as Vice President of Development and Acquisitions. He assumed his role as CEO of Konover South in 2010.
An expert dealmaker, David is extraordinarily skilled at evaluating and optimizing development and acquisition opportunities. David additionally serves on the board of The Simon Konover Company.
Trey Patton is Chief Financial Officer at Konover South. In this role, he is responsible for accounting, treasury, cash management, human resources/payroll, and taxation for the Company and its properties.
Trey began his professional career with the Big Four accounting firm of Price Waterhouse in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Subsequently, he held various senior financial positions for two large publicly-held real estate developers, Arvida/JMB Partners (Nasdaq: XXAAO) and the The St. Joe Company (NYSE: JOE). Trey has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and joined Konover South in 2008.
Trey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Accountancy Degrees from the University of Tennessee and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Blair Hyatt is Executive Vice President of Development at Konover South and is responsible for all retail ground up development and redevelopment activities.
Since beginning his retail real estate career in the early 1980’s, Blair has worked for the Florida Shopping Center Group, Inc.,(a Chain Links affiliate), as Costco’s national exclusive real estate broker, and served with a start-up retailer in charge of real estate. Prior to joining Konover South in 2002, he was a six-year partner at Commercial Development Associates, a Florida-based real estate development company operating in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.
Blair has a degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of South Florida, and is a Florida licensed real estate broker.
Bob Bedard is Senior Vice President of Development at Konover South and is responsible for growing the firm’s ground-up retail development portfolio.
With over 35 years of experience in retail development and corporate retail real estate, Bob previously served as Senior Vice President and lead development executive for Florida’s Gatlin Development Company, a developer of Walmart-anchored shopping centers. Bob’s distinguished career earlier included 18 years with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where he orchestrated the development of approximately 850 Walmart projects valued at approximately $10 billion. Bob joined Konover South in 2015.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Real Estate, from Arizona State University and additionally was honored as an “Outstanding Real Estate Graduate” by Arizona State.
Jeffrey Williams is Senior Vice President of Development at Konover South and is responsible for market/site selection, purchase contract negotiations, and procurement and management of architects, engineers, general contractors and consultants.
Formerly a 10-year development executive with Aldi, Jeffrey served as Director of Real Estate and led Aldi’s market entry into Florida. Jeff joined the Konover South team in 2017.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, and completed the Advanced Program on Negotiation from Harvard University.
Erika Stilwell is Vice President of Asset Management at Konover South and is responsible for optimizing the value of the firm’s commercial real estate portfolio.
With 18 years of South Florida experience in corporate and institutional asset management, Erika formerly served as Vice President of Asset Management for RAM Realty Services. Excelling in managing, monitoring and maximizing assets, she earlier held directorships of asset management at Wells Fargo Bank, GE Capital and Falcon Funding. Erika joined Konover South in 2015.
Erika holds an MBA in Real Estate and Construction Management and a Bachelor’s in Business, both with High Honors, from the University of Denver. A Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker, she has notably served as a featured speaker or guest panelist on real estate and finance at CREW and Interface Conferences. Additionally, Erika is a lecturer for Introduction to Real Estate classes at Broward Community College.
Agustin Amaro is Director of Construction at Konover South. His duties include preparation of cost estimates, value engineering, construction document/contract review, and oversight of all construction activity.
A veteran retail construction specialist, Agustin previously served with retail giants Subway of South Florida, Bank Atlantic, Nations Rent, General Growth Properties, Inc. and Sears Holdings Corporation.
An active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Agustin studied Building Construction Technology at Valencia College, Orlando, and Civil Engineering at La Laguna University, Tenerife, Spain. Also notably, in addition to English, Agustin is fluent in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
Jacob E. Gerb, Esq., P.A. serves as General Counsel for Konover South. He is responsible for the oversight on all real estate matters including acquisitions/development, property management, leasing, and corporate matters.
Jacob has had a vast career as Counsel specializing in retail real estate. Having previously served as In-House Counsel for South Florida’s Gatlin Development Company and Terranova Corporation as well as DLC Management Corporation in New York, he was earlier an Associate Counsel at the law offices of Shevlin & Atkins in Bal Harbour. Jacob has worked with Konover South since 2015.
Jacob holds a J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University, and his bar admissions include the states of Florida and New York. An active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Jacob is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida.
Bea Williams is Director of Contract & Lease Administration at Konover South. Her responsibilities include lease documentation, due diligence on acquisition activities, loan closings and corporate entity maintenance.
Bea has in excess of 25 years in the real estate and legal profession, she served as Senior Paralegal with Arvida JMB/Partners and as Manager, BSG of Office Depot, where she negotiated territorial leases with major retail developers, along with negotiations and drafting of all distribution center leases and land purchases. Bea has been with Konover South since 2005.
Bea attended Florida A&M University, Florida Atlantic University as well as Southern Career Institute, specializing in Paralegal Studies.
Tania Handa is the financial analyst at Konover South. In this role, she underwrites all retail acquisition and development opportunities to determine if they are financially feasible and meet the company’s goals and objectives.
Tania has been responsible for underwriting in excess of $150 million of real estate which the company has built or acquired. She has a deep understanding of ARGUS, the industry standard software for real estate analysis, and uses this expertise to accurately evaluate the returns for each deal Konover pursues. Tania has been with Konover South since 2005.
Tania holds an MBA from Florida Atlantic University and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Scott Meyers is Director of Leasing at Konover South. He is responsible for shopping center leasing, Third Party Business development and tenant representation. In addition to leasing responsibilities, Scott sources land acquisitions for retail property development.
Prior to joining Konover South, Scott owned a brokerage company, Commercial Real Estate, LLC, with three offices in Boca Raton, Stuart and Vero Beach. He has vast knowledge of all Florida markets and experience in leasing, acquisitions, sales and development. Scott has been with Konover South since 2012.
Scott played Divisional tennis at Florida Atlantic University from 1998-2000 and is an avid golfer.
Zachary Feldman is Leasing Representative at Konover South. His duties include commercial lease analysis and negotiations, landlord representation, and tenant relations. Zachary is a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate, and he previously worked in retail leasing on multiple South Florida retail locations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Real Estate from Florida Atlantic University.
Chris Smith is Senior Property Manager at Konover South. He specializes in property management and is responsible for ensuring that tenant relations, property maintenance and vendor contracts all meet property budgets and goals.
Chris started out in commercial real estate at the age of 14 working maintenance at a 55,000 sq. ft. Boca Raton office building. Later, Chris brought his education and experience to Clinton Real Estate Group (CRE) managing Class A office and retail space as an assistant property manager. He then served at Amera Realty Corporation where he managed 250,000 sq. ft. of Class A office and 500,000 sq. ft. of retail. Chris has been with Konover South since 2010.
Chris graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BA in Finance and enjoys coaching soccer, playing softball and spending time with his family and friends.
