DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (December 14th) – We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the seven-acre property to be developed as The Shoppes of Westlake Landings on December 13th.
The Shoppes at Westlake Landings will be located at the southwest corner of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road and Persimmon Boulevard in the City of Westlake, Florida. The Shoppes of Westlake Landings will be comprised of two multi-tenant shopping centers, one totaling 7,065 square feet and the other 9,450 square feet, as well as a pod of quick service restaurants totaling 6,765 square feet.
Leases have been signed with Verizon Communications, Go Green Dry Cleaners, Heartland Dental, and Sauced BBQ and Whiskey Shack, a full-service restaurant and bar owned by the Ralph Lewis family. The Lewis family has owned and operated Okeechobee Steak House in West Palm Beach for 75 years.
Negotiations for the two centers are also underway for a hamburger concept, a smoothie shop, and a fitness studio. For the restaurant pod, lease details are being worked out with three national food and beverage chains.
In making the announcement, Konover South Senior Vice President Bob Bedard stated “We are looking forward to providing the residents of Westlake and the surrounding community with convenient access to some quality retail service providers and restaurants. We expect to be fully leased when we open in late 2022 or early 2023.”
Westlake is a master-planned community being developed by Minto Communities on a 3,800-acre Westlake community approved for 4,500 homes and more than 2.2 million square feet of commercial space. Konover South purchased the property from MINTO PBLH, LLC, in the amount of $4,000,000.
