David Coppa, the CEO of Konover South, continues the family tradition by representing the third generation of private ownership. He is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for the organization, driving growth and expansion, and fostering its corporate culture.
Born and raised in and around the family business in West Hartford, Connecticut, David began his career at affiliate Konover Hotel where he excelled for several years. Upon relocation to Florida in 1997, David worked in the banking industry for numerous years, then rejoined the family business serving in the company’s retail asset management department, and later, as Vice President of Development and Acquisitions. He assumed his role as CEO of Konover South in 2010.
An expert dealmaker, David is extraordinarily skilled at evaluating and optimizing development and acquisition opportunities. David additionally serves on the board of The Simon Konover Company.
Trey Patton is Chief Financial Officer at Konover South. In this role, he is responsible for accounting, treasury, cash management, human resources/payroll, and taxation for the Company and its properties.
Trey began his professional career with the Big Four accounting firm of Price Waterhouse in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Subsequently, he held various senior financial positions for two large publicly-held real estate developers, Arvida/JMB Partners (Nasdaq: XXAAO) and the The St. Joe Company (NYSE: JOE). Trey has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and joined Konover South in 2008.
Trey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Accountancy Degrees from the University of Tennessee.
Jeffrey Williams is Executive Vice President of Development and Construction at Konover South and is responsible for market/site selection, purchase contract negotiations, and procurement and management of architects, engineers, general contractors and consultants.
Formerly a 10-year development executive with Aldi, Jeffrey served as Director of Real Estate and led Aldi’s market entry into Florida. Jeff joined the Konover South team in 2017.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, and completed the Advanced Program on Negotiation from Harvard University.
Chris Witker is Executive Vice President of Development at Konover South and is responsible for growing the firm’s real estate portfolio, which includes market/site selection, purchase contract negotiations, and obtaining any necessary development approvals.
Chris is an experienced industry veteran who was formerly with Ram Realty Advisors where he procured real estate opportunities throughout Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas. Chis also has a great deal of experience from his time with other notable companies such as Marcus & Millichap and Morgan Stanley.
Chris received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Florida Atlantic University. He has earned professional licenses as a Real Estate Associate, Series 7 and Series 32. As well as affiliations with Urban Land Institute, National Multifamily Housing Council, International Council of Shopping Centers and various community and non-profit organizations.
Laura Goetz is Vice President of Operations for Konover South and is responsible for general oversight on the company’s operations as well as overseeing the Property Management division. Laura also works closely with Konover South's Development division in bringing all new properties to market.
Laura is an experienced industry veteran who was formerly with Stiles Property Management where she had a distinguished career as District Manager responsible for overseeing a retail and office portfolio of approximately 3.5 million square feet in the Southeast. Laura also brings a great deal of experience from her time with other notable companies such as Grover Corlew and Terranova.
Laura received a Bachelor of Science in Management from Florida Atlantic University. She is an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches. Laura is also a licensed Florida Real Estate Salesperson.
Bob Bedard is Senior Vice President of Development at Konover South and is responsible for growing the firm’s ground-up retail development portfolio.
With over 35 years of experience in retail development and corporate retail real estate, Bob previously served as Senior Vice President and lead development executive for Florida’s Gatlin Development Company, a developer of Walmart-anchored shopping centers. Bob’s distinguished career earlier included 18 years with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where he orchestrated the development of approximately 850 Walmart projects valued at approximately $10 billion. Bob joined Konover South in 2015.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Real Estate, from Arizona State University and additionally was honored as an “Outstanding Real Estate Graduate” by Arizona State.
Jacob E. Gerb, Esq., P.A. serves as General Counsel for Konover South. He is responsible for the oversight on all real estate matters including acquisitions/development, property management, leasing, and corporate matters.
Jacob has had a vast career as Counsel specializing in retail real estate. Having previously served as In-House Counsel for South Florida’s Gatlin Development Company and Terranova Corporation as well as DLC Management Corporation in New York, he was earlier an Associate Counsel at the law offices of Shevlin & Atkins in Bal Harbour. Jacob has worked with Konover South since 2015.
Jacob holds a J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University, and his bar admissions include the states of Florida and New York. An active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Jacob is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida.
Erin O’Brien is Controller at Konover South and is responsible for oversight of all property accounting, project management accounting and tax-related matters.
Erin is an experienced industry veteran who was formerly with notable companies such as Stiles Corporation, Deloitte & Touche, Franklin Templeton Investments and also has experience in the insurance and education industries.
Erin received a Bachelor of Science, Accounting and a Master of Accounting, Taxation from Florida State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida and has been involved with organizations such as Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Broward County Housing Authority and Unforgettable Prom Foundation.
Patrick Christie, P.E., is Director of Construction at Konover South responsible for all retail construction management activities on the ground up developments and existing portfolio properties.
A Registered Professional Engineer with over 20 years of retail construction experience, Patrick previously served as Director of Project Management at CBRE | Skye Group in Miami and earlier as Senior Director of Construction at Kimco Realty Corporation in New York.
Patrick holds a Bachelor’s of Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Bea Williams is Director of Contract & Lease Administration at Konover South. Her responsibilities include lease documentation, due diligence on acquisition activities, loan closings and corporate entity maintenance.
Bea has in excess of 25 years in the real estate and legal profession, she served as Senior Paralegal with Arvida JMB/Partners and as Manager, BSG of Office Depot, where she negotiated territorial leases with major retail developers, along with negotiations and drafting of all distribution center leases and land purchases. Bea has been with Konover South since 2005.
Bea attended Florida A&M University, Florida Atlantic University as well as Southern Career Institute, specializing in Paralegal Studies.
Jennifer Gutheil is Property Manager at Konover South. She is responsible for ensuring that tenant relations, property maintenance and vendor contracts all meet property budgets and goals.
Jennifer started her real estate career in the retail space managing properties throughout Florida. She later expanded her knowledge to managing retail property throughout the United States totaling over 1.5 million square feet. Jennifer also has experience in the management of industrial property.
Jennifer attended Palm Beach State College and The Gold Coast School of Real estate. She also holds her CSM Certification of Management level II from John T. Riordan School for Real Estate.
Nicholas Marrone is Property Manager at Konover South. He is responsible for ensuring that tenant relations, property maintenance and vendor contracts all meet property budgets and goals.
Nicholas started in the Real Estate business in the office space throughout Los Angeles, CA. Nicholas also gained experience in the shopping center business by leasing retail properties throughout CA, CO and NV for many years and later joined the Property Management team managing over 1.1M SF throughout Northern California.
Nicholas graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in Political Science, is an Eagle Scout and enjoys golf, paddle tennis and College sports.
