Konover South acquires 5.3-acre site in Charlotte MSA; to break ground on ±10,000-sq.-ft. Cuthbertson Crossing retail project in Q4 2025

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (June 24, 2025) – Konover South is pleased to announce the acquisition of a prime 5.3-acre parcel in the Town of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Located on Providence Road South (Hwy 16) in the rapidly growing southwestern corridor of the Charlotte MSA, Cuthbertson Crossing was purchased from Charlotte-based Carolina Capital.

Current leasing efforts are focused on the final 1.78-acre outparcel, with plans to break ground on the retail project in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Located within the dynamic Charlotte metropolitan area, tenant demand for the project has been extremely strong. The demographics surrounding Cuthbertson Crossing are compelling, with a population of 80,928 within a five-mile radius and an average household income exceeding $200,000.

The site offers excellent access and visibility and is positioned in the heart of Waxhaw’s commercial corridor—neighboring prominent retailers such as Aldi, Harris Teeter, Lowe’s Home Improvement, the future Lowes Foods, Walmart Neighborhood Market, and other national brands.
